Capricon XXXII WWCC Pre-Qualifier - Capricon 32 - Westin Chicago North Shore, WheelingFri, Feb 10, 2012 (04:00 PM) - Sun, Feb 12, 2012 (02:00 PM)
Capricon 32 is proud to host a Pre-Qualifier for the World Wide Catan Championships 2012 in conjunction with Mayfair Games. Players will compete to win a trip to GenCon Indy 2012 to play for a seat in the WWCC. The trip to GenCon Indy will include double occupancy hotel, 4 day badge to GenCon Indy, and transportation cost. There will be two chances to qualify for a seat in the Semi-Finals on Sunday. A three round tournament will be held on both Friday and Saturday. The top 16 players from the combination of those 2 days will advance to the Semi-Finals. Players do not have to play both Friday and Saturday, We will take your best days score. You can play one or both days. Whichever day has your highest score, Friday or Saturday will be your score taken for rankings. Rankings will be by win/lose record, broken by points. We should be able to wrap up each day (Friday and Saturday) by 9 PM, if not earlier depending on the number of players. Only 3 games will be played Friday, and 3 played on Saturday. Semi-Finals will be Sunday morning at 10 AM. Players will play 1 game. The winner from each table will then play 1 final game to determine the overall Capricon 2012 WWCC Pre-Qualifier Winner! 1st Chance – Friday, February 10 at 4 PM 2nd Chance – Saturday, February 11 at 4 PM Semi- Finals – Sunday, February 12 at 10 AM Finals – Sunday, February 12 after the Semi-Finals Tournament participants must have a badge for the convention in order to participate. Strategicon's Orccon 2012 is honored to once again host a Pre-Qualifier for the World Wide Catan Championships 2012. Players will compete to win a trip to Origins 2012 to play for a seat in the WWCC. The trip includes hotel, 4 day badge to Origins (both sponsored by Mayfair) and air transportation (sponsored by Strategicon). Orccon 2012 will provide attendees with two chances on Saturday and Sunday afternoon to qualify for a seat in the Semi-Finals on Sunday night. Full details are available at the convention website. This will be run the same as last years event. Throughout the day there will be three qualifying rounds to gain a spot in the championship game later in the evening. You may participate in as many qualifiers as you'd like to earn a spot in the championship game. |

Mayfair Games is proud to continue its support of GAMA and once again present its popular D2D program at the GAMA Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV on March 12 -16, 2012. Each session will introduce three Mayfair titles to participants, teaching participants how to demo and sell each game, and present additional materials that will support product sales. At the end of each session, each D2D attendee will take home one demo copy of each of Giza™, Test of Fire™ and Rocket Jockey™, from their session, as well as other promotional items. Tuesday's and Wednesday's sessions can each accommodate thirty-two (32) retail stores. Each registered retailer may bring one additional staff member to participate in the demo (though only one box will be distributed to each store). If you have multiple stores, you will need to register each store separately if you wish to have more than two representatives attend the session.
