GenCon2006 Indy and Origins2006 Columbus will each host a tournament to determine one of the two United States Representatives for the Settlers of Catan World Championships to be held at the Essen Game Fair.
Feeder Tournaments will contribute individuals to the semi-final rounds of those tournaments. Mayfair Games shall provide the winner of the GenCon Indy 2006 trounament with transportation to Germany, Lodging in Essen, and admission to the fair and the tournament. The winner of which will be transported and Lodged at KublaCon's Expense to Origins 2006, where that person shall qualify as a semi-finalist in the Origins 2006 Settlers of Catan US Qualifier Tournament determining one of the representatives of the US. The system used to determine the semi-finalist at both GenCon and at Origins will be one in which the players play three games at one sitting, and post a compiled score at the end of three games. The best players will advance to the semi-finals. Catan World Qualifiers 2007 Tournament Rules are available now The winners of the feeder tournaments will be granted a seat in the semi-final rounds at the appropriate tournament.
