Mayfair Games will be at Gen Con Indy 2010

Mayfair Games will be in Indianapolis, IN on August 5-8 for Gen Con Indy 2010 and we have exciting events in store for all of those coming by Booth 1139 or the Mayfair room.  Join us in the Exhibitors Hall for Demo Central where you will be able to demo dozens of games.  We will have the new Vectorform MS Surface on display.  It features The Settlers of Catan™ touch-screen game and it is a wonder to behold.  Take part in the Great Mayfair Ribbon Quest and earn your Knighthood or Defender status (Younger questers will have Squire or Page status bestowed upon them).  Those who succeed in the quest will be awarded special promotional items (not available for sale) including the latest Catan map, the DelMarVa map that covers Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC.  Stop by the booth and check out our newest releases and the new “Catan Goodies”.  Visit the Mayfair Room and play one of our GIANT board games or one of the many titles in our Library.  We will also be hosting our second and final Worldwide Catan Championship Qualifiers for 2010 and the winner of this Tournament will be heading to Germany to represent the US in the Worldwide Catan Championship.  Remember this tournament is open to any U.S. citizen 18 years or older and the winner will need to have a valid passport.

                                                  

Mayfair Games is also excited to announce that it will host a number of world-class game designers at its booth.  These designers include Martin Wallace (Steam™, Rise of Empires™, La Strade™, Toledo™, Automobile™), H. Jean Vanaise (Horus™, Le Boomb™, Shark™, Restaurant™), and Uwe Eickert (Conflict of Heroes™ line), Larry Roznai (Australian Rails™, Nippon Rails™, Design Lead and Team Manager of the Empire Builder™ design team), James Ernest & Mike Selinker (Lords of Vegas™), and P.R. Chase (Theophrastus™, Saturday only).  All will be happy to field questions and sign autographs when present.

 

Mayfair Games is also the sole sponsor for Family Day on Sunday, August 8.  Families can get tickets at a great discount and children under eight are free when accompanied by a paying adult.  Activities in the Family area in the Exhibitors Hall will include gaming as well as activities.  But remember, children in the Family area musts be accompanied by an adult at all times.
