For the Michigan and Ohio folks at Mayfair, one of our favorite conventions to attend is Protospiel.

Protospiel is a gathering of game designers who get together to playtest and critique each other's efforts. This year, it's July 27-29 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

We bring prototypes, play as many games from the designers as we can, and this year will present a seminar on components in games.
