ANN ARBOR, Michigan – January 3rd, 2004 – Mayfair Games, Inc today announced that Guido Teuber (31), Managing Director at Catan LLC and Mayfair shareholder, has joined the Mayfair team as the PR/Marketing Director.

“We are glad to have Guido on board,” said Will Niebling, Mayfair’s CEO. “He brings a unique perspective to the company as he is familiar with both the US and German hobby game industries. He would like to see German-style board games to become as successful in the US as they are in Germany.”

“The Mayfair team has done a great job in establishing and growing the Catan product line and other games in North America and beyond,” said Guido Teuber. “I have been particularly impressed with the company’s commitment and devotion to building high quality game portfolios. For the Mayfair guys, games are a passion as well as a business. Their focus is always on long term goals, which maximizes a long life span for all Mayfair games.”

Guido Teuber has been a partner and shareholder at Mayfair for many years. As Managing Director of Catan LLC, he has already been working closely with Mayfair team on the promotion of the “The Settlers of Catan” line of games as well as other successful board and card game designs by his father, Klaus Teuber.

Catan LLC and Mayfair Games share a variety of common goals which provide the groundwork for both firms to function well within a creative, cooperative, and comprehensive strategic vision. Given the history of collaboration it was only a matter of time for Mr. Teuber to join the company more formally as its PR Director.

Mr. Teuber received his B.A. in Political Science with honors from the University of New Orleans and attended the George Washington University for graduate studies in International Affairs.

He currently lives in the Bay Area with his wife Emily and three year old son Liam. Besides games his hobbies include spending time with his family, trail running, traveling, enjoying good food & wine and keeping up on international affairs.
