Die Sternenfahrer von Catan (‘The Starfarers of Catan’) is a distant relative of Die Siedler (Settlers), but it’s a complete game in its own right. This grand science fiction game contains myriad components, including 4 expandable plastic spaceships, lending it splendid “toy value.”

The game takes place in the outer space around year 2700 A.D. The home worlds reside at one end of the game board where each of the 3 or 4 Catanians have their own solar systems, each with 3 planets producing raw materials in the Catanian fashion and a space port from which to launch colonization and trade transports.

Event cards will call upon you to fend off pirates, rescue crippled space craft or meet with aliens. Trading and colonizing will bring you glory and wealth as you explore the universe.
